The Patients' Council, Royal Edinburgh Hospital

23.03.09 - Charlotte Mitchell was elected back on to the Management Committee - welcome back, Charlotte!

We are exploring different ways of getting our message across, e.g. making a video.

We will be meeting the new proejct lead for reprovisioning the hospital to put across our experience of the recent Options Appraisal Process.

We will be holding a Stakeholder event in April to share experience of reprovisioning processes with other advocacy organisations in the Lothians.

We have started using Request Forms to help us to prioritise and monitor our work.

David Budd's title has been changed to Project Manager.

07.01.09 - Congratulations to our new office-bearers who were elected at our meeting on 7th January: Patricia Whalley - Chair of the Patients' Council; Alison Robertson - Vice-Chair of the Patients' Council; and Elaine Dobbie - Convenor of the Management Committee.

04.12.08 - Congratulations to the following people who were elected on to our Management Committee at our Annual General Meeting today:

Tony Chan, Kate Cullen, Elaine Dobbie, Shirley Gowers, Craig Ireland, Carol Manley, Lesley McDade, Albert Nicolson, Alison Robertson and Patricia Whalley.

Many thanks and best wishes for the future to departing members Irene Molloy, Andy Shaw and Bruce McNally. Office bearers will be elected at the first meeting of the new management committee on 7th January 2009.

01.11.08 - At the meeting on 22 October, we welcomed new member Tony Chan. Tony has previously been on the committee and it is great to have him back. The Patients' Council may be receiving extra funding to enable us to take on short pieces of work. We agreed the design of new business cards. We agreed to accept a kind offer from Claire Lloyd, Circles Network's HR and Finance Manager, to attend our Annual General Meeting on 4th December to present the financial accounts.
